Stay away from obsession. It might end up taking your loved ones away..
An old dog in my alley says...
lostPod
My carelessness took one of its greatest toll till date. I lost my precious I pod while getting on a crowded BMTC bus. Well some of the blame has to be given to the crowded bus and also to the thief who took it. Still I cant forgive myself for carrying it in my pockets instead of keeping it in the bag.
Anyways whats gone is gone. There will be many more I Pods coming my way later in life. Yet as of now I will miss the familiar voice of the gadget crooning away while I fight this wretched world.

Dark Knight Dilemma
How can a writer review a movie of his childhood comic book hero without making his readers think he's still into reading comics. Though its restricted to a very few "Intellectual " ones. Pretty complicated isn't it.
Lets consider, the movie the writer saw was the recently released "Batman-The Dark Knight".First of all he should completely refrain from describing the 'cool', I mean the 'amusing' gadgets like the bike "bat pod" batman was riding or the secret 'high tech' hideout he had.It sounds a bit kiddish. I assume the writer might find the plot much better than the previous movie 'Batman Begins'.He could describe it a bit which somewhat goes like Batman and his confidants(Harvey Dent and Com. Gordon) are after the Gotham mob and meets his psychopathic, mass murdering, schizophrenic nemesis "Joker" for the first time .What ensues is a bitter battle between them where Bruce Wayne loses a number of friends and also an old lover. The movie revolves around Batman's struggle to stick to his moral code as he tries to stop Joker rampaging around the city he has vowed to protect. The plot has its share of twists and turns which adds to the to the movie's flavor.
Oh coming to the characters the writer can say how every actor perfectly fitted into their character. Heath Ledger as The Joker needs a special reference for his amazing performance. It surpasses way beyond the performance given by Jack Nicholson in the 1989 Batman movie. Even Christian Bale as the Batman gave a much better performance. The transition of Batman from a enraged young man looking for some answers to a 'feared' vigilante with immense power has been showed nicely in this movie.
No review can be completed without any appreciation of its technicalities. Obviously if our writer is such a big fan then he must add some facts that the film was shot in Chicago,London and Hong Kong,.For the first time four major action sequences were shot using Imax cameras and the movie was falsely titled "Rory's First Kiss " to lower the 'visibility' of production. The music has been composed by Hans Zimmer who is best known for winning an Oscar for The lion King.
Anyways I suppose thats quite a head start for our writer. But I believe he just might have already found a method of showing his appreciation for the movie and might just get away with it. Watch out for it...

An Evening with "Doubles,Triples and Quadruples"
Plays are not boring.. They are certainly not always serious. Instead they can be hilarious, touchy and can really make your day as the last play " Doubles,Triples and Quadruples" I saw, did. It is performed by a troop called Evam at Rangashankara. The play didn't have a full len
gth story as I expected it to have, but turned out to be a collage of snippets from life brilliantly portrayed by the group's amazingly talented actors.
The play included some hilarious sketches like the confusions of the newly wed couples, three gangsters hellbent to kill each other without knowing the reasons, a father pushing his son towards manhood and also some sweet and touchy ones like the last sketch involving two people finding love in old age.Even the monologues presented by the actors in between the sketches were pretty well done and didn't bore me for a single second.
In the end it was a great evening.. nice play.. lots of laughter.. nice company of friends..well it wasnt exactly great, it was an ideal Sunday evening.

Training..What Training??
yoohoo!!
No not exactly.
Agggghhh!!
nope not even that.one more try.
hmmm!!
oh forget it.Actually I really cant understand wat should I feel after two months of "a very productive"training getting over on Friday. Not that it was too bad.All I had to do was slog for tests,go through mindless slides, complete(try to complete) two case studies, stay back for entire nights, work on "Microsoft virtual PC",give more tests and... thats it.. Not too bad at all
Did it change me any way??
Ya it sure did.. I lost weight and now I am thinner than an African refugee.
Did it change the way i look at the world?
Very much. My vision is more blurry and I have to put an extra effort to see anything and everything.
Anyways enough of cribbing.. Thats what i have been doing for the last few posts.. Hope things will be sweeter and nicer after this...

rolling by...
Phew .. hard to believe its going to be month since my flight landed at Bangalore airport... thing's just rolled by so fast I didn't even realize its been more than a month since i wrote my last blog..
It just seems yesterday wen i was dozing off in my induction program and now i am dozing off in my .NET training too. That too after going through three weeks of grueling foundation classes, two tests and 32 hours of online courses. But i ain't complaining . Instead i will admit, it was pretty fun too... meeting new people, some turned out to be pretty interesting.. getting to know the whole "Accenture Culture". Then just like that yesterday, the time for my first salary came .. and believe me that sight in the ATM felt pretty nice..
But life's not gonna slow down now. I still have to 'pioneer' the stricter training schedule and passing criteria to see more of Accenture and my bank balance. I believe next month might just pass by even faster. So its time for another month of plunging into the madness and make some sense out of it.
Anyways, before anyone suggests wat should i do first with my salary, let me inform i already had my fav cheese dosa... so buzz off....

What does one get if he puts people as rich as the rich of Europe with people as poor as people of Africa on a piece of land? Well .....you get the city of Mumbai. Its a city with these two kinds of people coexisting in harmony but simultaneously keeping a thin line between them. Although most cities have a certain "class" division between the poor and rich but in Mumbai it is most evident. It's like mixing two different colored liquids, but ending up getting some wild swirls with each liquid having a distinct boundary. There is a general assumption that the name "city that fulfills every dream" only applies for the rich who lead their flashy life with their Porsches and million dollar homes, while the poor h
ave to fight for a square foot of space on the over crowded trains. But after experiencing Mumbai for the last few months, I find it hard to agree with them. If it was so, then why do these people come from far away states and work here if there was no future for them. I believe it is their dream that lures the poor laborers and drivers from different parts of the country to this city. What differs them from the rich is their dream. A poor dreams of earning money to send back to their families in their village, and saving up enough cash to shift his entire his family to the city someday. While the rich dream of bringing higher standards to their already comfortable life and thus taking the city to higher level of affluence. The city is called a city of dreams because of the opportunities its presents to every man to fulfill his dream with their hard work. Here again these two classes cater to each other's needs everyday, everywhere and cant survive a single day without them. But as soon as night falls they return to their own haven, none daring to trespass into the other's world. In the end of the day both these classes of people are equally happy for their respective dreams being fulfilled to some extent each day and equally sad for their disappointments.
Finally, I would say that every dream is fulfilled in this magical city. All one has to do is choose the right one ....

Time to chill....
Its 10 degrees in Mumbai….. No, let me put it in a more appropriate manner: “IT’S BLOODY 10 DEGREES IN MUMBAI!!!!!!” Yup it is…News channel crews was reportedly seen around the city recording the coldest February ever...and I have never been happier (in my last six months of “jobless with a job” stay in Mumbai). For the reasons as follows:
- Those damn train journeys to NIIT will be a more comfortable.
- And a bit less smelly.
- Jogging will be more fun. Yes I do jog (Better believe it).
- At last can wear that sweat shirt from Kolkata.
- The vada pao tastes much more ‘yummier’ when one is not sweating.
- For a change News channels will report something more relevant than celebrity scandals.
And not to forget , it’s a very welcome change in my daily routine of waiting for call from that DAMN Caritor….
A very fishy new year........
I hate eating fish!! Nope, "shockingly" I am not a Bengali who craves for them during every meal of the day. Even though i consider myself as a pretty brave gastronomic adventurer, fishes are something I have dreaded for my entire life.
Not surprisingly, any visit to a relative's place in the city ( Kolkata ) brings out my old nemesis right on my platter. Recently during my visit to Kolkata, my aunts decided to have dinner together on 31st Dec . Each of them were supposed to prepare a dish and bring it. I deduced, of all three aunts excluding the one at who's house I was staying, at least one will bring something not remotely resembling a fish. But that was not supposed to be. On the new years eve as the days of the year came to an end, so did my luck. What was for dinner is as follows: fish curry, spicy fish and roasted fish. Although considered gourmet dishes in Kolkata fit for the occasion, my dinner was more like a lost duel. I tried to refuse as much as possible without being impolite but aunts will be aunts. They were too busy discussing how skinny I am and how I should eat more protein, vitamins, etc(conveniently again fish) to even sympathize on my anguish. And thats how i ended my year.
As for the rest of the five days of my stay my disappointed aunts looked down upon me for being the "aajob chele"(weird boy) .While I dug out old friends staying in the city to go out for lunch to save myself from another piece of those slimy little creatures.
